Devotional: Not too difficult to Obey
Today's ODB reading talked about the fact that Gods commandments are not too incredible for us. Instead, "it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it."
It makes me think about my conscience, and the fact that if I am true to myself I always know what I should be doing. Whether its at work or at school or in interaction with people. However, for some reason I refuse to follow what I know is right. I tend my instincts which are contrary to what I know I should be doing. And so even when it comes to morals, Im compromising and if I do that enough, I build a strong case and my conscience is hardened about whether certain things are wrong.
Today's passage comes when I am kicking myself for not moving my car during the snow storm. I didn't move it before I went to Christmas and now I am paying the price. Literally. But God forgives and helps even when we decided to do the wrong thing or failed to act. So "Please help me with my car!"
